Christina Cameli: Next Level Quilting

Christina Cameli has endeared herself to fans all over the world through her quilting books and  Craftsy classes. Christina’s gentle, supportive spirit is equally suited to teaching quilting and her career as a nurse-midwife. As a fabric designer for Maywood Studio and non-stop quilt designer, she is never bored. Christina finds her greatest joys with scrappy patchwork, free-motion quilting and wedge based piecing. Outside of the sewing room and the clinic, she spends her days with her blended family and rescue lab mix in Portland Oregon, trying to get in an afternoon paddleboarding when she can.

To register or for more information, please email eqgeducation1@gmail.com and put Christina’s name in the subject line.

Kick up your piecing and design skills with Sandy Beintema Lindal.

Saturday April 22 2023 1 pm to 4 pm: Snowball Quilt Update

$30 for guild members, $40 for non-members plus pattern fee TBA

In this half day workshop, Sandy will teach people who didn’t take the earlier class how to construct a string snowball quilt, or refresh the memories of those of us for whom 2019 feels like a long time ago! This condensed version of the former full day will cover making the block, string piecing, sewing the curves, and everything to get a finished block.

Participants must come prepared with strips cut to save the time. For those who are continuing on to the next class, we will discuss the design each participant wants to make and what they have to do at home before the next meeting.

Saturday May 11 2023 9:30 am to 3:30 pm: Dynamic Snowball Variations

$50 for guild members, $70 for non-members plus pattern fee TBA

Sandy is offering this full day class to encourage us to develop our design skills further, considering some dynamic variations on the original design. This is a great way to foster our design creativity, to go beyond our first ideas and build and develop them further. We can choose a variation and with Sandy’s expert guidance, get to work on it and bring our quilt visions into reality.

Cancellation policy for workshops

We understand that sometimes people who have registered for a workshop find they are unable to take it. If there are enough people to cover the costs of the workshop and the guild isn’t losing money, a registrant can get a refund if they have to cancel. The amount refunded will be the full amount they paid, minus a $5 processing fee. If there aren’t enough people to cover the costs without their registration, they can transfer their registration to someone else, but they cannot get a refund. Usually, it has been possible to give refunds because our members have responded enthusiastically to workshops, but it can’t be guaranteed.

If the guild has to cancel a workshop for any reason, people who have registered will be refunded the full amount they paid. (No processing fee will be deducted.)
