Cancellation policy for workshops

We understand that sometimes people who have registered for a workshop find they are unable to take it. If there are enough people to cover the costs of the workshop and the guild isn’t losing money, a registrant can get a refund if they have to cancel. The amount refunded will be the full amount they paid, minus a $5 processing fee. If there aren’t enough people to cover the costs without their registration, they can transfer their registration to someone else, but they cannot get a refund. Usually, it has been possible to give refunds because our members have responded enthusiastically to workshops, but it can’t be guaranteed.

If the guild has to cancel a workshop for any reason, people who have registered will be refunded the full amount they paid. (No processing fee will be deducted.)

November 2021 / January 2022: Free Workshop for Members

For members who have registered for the 2021-2022 season, we are offering free workshops with Melissa Marginet. Melissa is a well-known Canadian quilter, author, designer and teacher. Check out her website here. She will be walking us through some of the designs in her book “Walking Foot Quilting Designs”. Choose the day and time that work best for you!

Melissa Marginet will be offering her Intro to Walking Foot Quilting workshop on Nov 30, 2021 and again on Jan 22, 2022, from 10 am to 1 pm on both dates. This workshop is free to all members! But you need to sign up for one or the other date as soon as possible to be sure that you have a space. You know the drill – please email us at eqgeducation1@gmail.com and insert the name of the workshop in the subject line!

February 2022 Ellen Lindner workshop

Inspired by Ellen Lindner’s talk tonight at our October guild membership meeting? You can now sign up for a zoom workshop with her in February! This is a unique opportunity to take your own nature photo and use it to create a quilt that is entirely your own design. The workshop has been scheduled over a series of sessions, so we will be able to work in between sessions, and then show our work to Ellen for support and consultation along the way. Short of having her here in our homes with us, looking over our shoulders as we design and sew, this is as good as it gets! (Well, if I’m speaking frankly, in February I’d be happier to go to HER STUDIO IN FLORIDA for this workshop, but at least for this year, that won’t be happening!)

If you would like to sign up for the workshop, please email us at eqgeducation1@gmail.com, and we will get back to you with info re payment etc.

Dates: optional orientation session on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 7 pm. It then continues for 4 sessions.
